Baked Italian Sub
Prep time: 5 MinCook time: 15 MinTotal time: 20 Min
My family sub recipe, hot and toasty with crispy bread and melted cheese - it's just too good! This is a great recipe to make for a big group because you can prepare one big sub on a large rustic loaf and then cut it into sections once it's out of the oven. Perfect for your Superbowl party next month!
Ingredients
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cut the Italian loaf in half and scoop out the center of the bread (optional - I do this to cut a few carbs).
- Drizzle both sides of the bread with olive oil and Italian seasoning; cover one side with slices of provolone and the other side with slices of ham.
- Add pepperoni on top of the ham and bake for 15 minutes.
- Toss the tomato, pepperoncinis and iceberg lettuce in Italian dressing plus salt and pepper; add to the hot sub, cut in sections and enjoy!
